Definition

Cross-government

Strong and well-designed enough to continue working or withstand scrutiny, variation, failure or challenge.

Example: A robust process should still work when the only officer who understands it is on leave.

Also known as: more robust, robust approach, robust process, robust analysis

Context: Often vague on its own. State what must be robust, what it must withstand and how that will be tested.
